My story
ABOUT
I am Benedikt, a result-oriented professional with a passion for building and growing businesses, both in the startup ecosystem and now more in the profitable area. I began my career in the startup world while studying, and my initial foray involved spearheading the operations of a peer-to-peer car-sharing marketplace in Berlin. This experience made me want to start companies from the ground up.
After living in Berlin for two years, I felt a strong desire to go back to my home town of Munich. I joined Limehome, one of the leading serviced apartment startups in Germany and Europe. I was a key player in building and scaling the customer success team, where I helped the company to a remarkable growth.
Inspired by this experience, I and two other coworkers decided to start our own business. Our goal was to create a cutting-edge hotel concept with a fully digital customer journey. Charly was born. Under our leadership, Charly flourished, expanding to a team of 30 individuals at its peak, and managing three operational hotels with four additional locations in the pipeline. Besides our core business, we ventured into software product development and operated a successful workspace. In early 2023, we sold Charly hospitality to a competitor.
Throughout this entrepreneurial journey, I have realized that my true passion lies in the field of hospitality. I love creating memorable and original experiences for people. I know that digital tools can change the hospitality industry, so I want to help others make their businesses better too. With a fresh perspective and a solid track record, I'm looking forward to contributing to the industry's constant improvement, one fresh idea at a time.
